Terms of Service

Heads up: this is a placeholder document. The final terms will be reviewed by counsel before launch and may differ. Use of the service before launch is governed by good-faith agreement.

Plain-English summary

You're using ReservWise to help track and allocate your variable income. We provide the software; you stay responsible for your money and your taxes. We try hard to be accurate, but we are not your CPA, attorney, or fiduciary. If you break the law with us, we can suspend you. If we mess up, we'll fix it as fast as we can.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You agree to notify us promptly at security@reservwise.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.

The service

ReservWise provides cashflow tracking, reserve allocation, forecasting, owner-draw smoothing, tax-reserve estimation, and related tools for users with variable income. Specific features depend on your plan.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will give reasonable notice for material removals.

Fees & billing

• Free plan: $0/mo, with limited features.
• Pro plan: $12/mo (or annual equivalent), full feature set for individuals.
• Business plan: $29/mo (or annual equivalent), team seats and elevated SLAs.
• Billing is handled by Stripe. Charges renew automatically until you cancel.
• Refunds are at our discretion within 30 days for new subscribers, unless local law requires otherwise.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the service for unlawful purposes.
• Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or scrape the service in violation of our security controls.
• Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written permission.
• Upload data that you do not have the right to share.
• Interfere with other users' use of the service.

Your data

You own your data. We have a limited license to process it on your behalf to run the service. See the Privacy Policy for the specifics on collection, retention, and deletion.

Disclaimers

ReservWise is a software tool. It is not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. The math we surface is informational; you and your accountant remain responsible for tax compliance and financial decisions.

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Termination

• You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing.
• We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
• Upon termination, you can export your data within 30 days (see Privacy Policy).

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email and posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

Governing-law jurisdiction will be specified in the production version of these terms after counsel review.
