Annual billing on any paid plan saves you about 17% — roughly two months free per year — and replaces twelve renewal anxieties with one. Here's how it works and when it's the right call.

Where this lives: Settings → Billing → Subscription → Switch to annual. Toggle visible on every paid plan. For exact monthly and annual prices on each tier, see the live pricing page — annual numbers always reflect the discount.

How the discount works

The annual price on every paid tier is 12 monthly payments minus roughly two months. Same plan, same features, same support — you just pay once a year instead of twelve times.

Concretely: if monthly is $X, annual is approximately $X × 10. The exact percentage is shown on the pricing page and the in-app billing toggle, and it's identical across all paid tiers (Free has no annual since Free is $0 either way).

When annual is the right move

  • You've used ReservWise for 30+ days and it's stuck. If the product is part of your weekly money cadence, annual saves real cash and removes a recurring decision from your inbox.
  • Your income is volatile but ReservWise is what makes it manageable. The whole point is reserves and forecasting — paying once a year while you're cash-flush is exactly the discipline ReservWise teaches.
  • You want fewer notifications. One renewal a year vs. twelve. One invoice for accounting vs. twelve.

When monthly is better:

  • You're still in your first 30 days and not yet sure. Use the 30-day refund window and decide on month two.
  • You're testing a higher tier and may downgrade. Stay monthly during the trial period.

Switching from monthly to annual

  1. Open Settings → Billing → Subscription.
  2. Toggle the cycle from Monthly to Annual.
  3. Review the prorated charge: we credit the unused portion of your current monthly cycle and charge the annual amount, net of credit, today.
  4. Confirm. The new annual cycle begins immediately and renews 12 months from today.

For more on how proration works, see Upgrading or downgrading mid-cycle.

What happens to your payment method

Your existing card or bank account is charged for the annual amount. If you've been using a card and want to switch to ACH for the annual charge — recommended on higher tiers because the processing fees are lower and there are no card-expiry surprises — add ACH first, make it default, then toggle to annual. See Updating your payment method.

Switching back to monthly

Annual → monthly takes effect at the end of the annual cycle by default — you've paid for the year, you keep the year. If you want to switch back partway through and recover the unused months, email support@reservwise.com; we prorate it manually. See Refund policy.
